As a vegan Libertarian who enjoys regular trips to the shooting range, Erin Whiting makes a habit of defying expectations. She grew up in a experimental socialist community founded by Franklin Roosevelt, and a desire to reconcile the dedication to social justice she developed there with her commitment to individuality led her to the freedom movement. When she isn’t writing about, talking about, or reading about liberty, she’s probably playing with her dogs, reading the first two thirds of a good book before losing interest, or binge watching guilty pleasure TV shows. She grew up in the DC Metro area, and she majored in English and philosophy at the University of Maryland, College Park. After graduating, she moved to Austin where she spent four years enjoying the sun, live music and the thriving Libertarian community before moving back to Maryland.
